Boise State junior quarterback Joe Southwick ended spring ball the same way he began.

As the favorite to land the starting job.

Southwick led three of the Broncos’ four scoring drives Saturday in the Spring Game at Bronco Stadium — capped by an 18-yard touchdown pass with 54 seconds left that gave the offense a 22-19 victory.

Southwick was 14-of-19 for 145 yards and one touchdown. None of the other three quarterbacks threw more than eight passes.
