The San Jose Sharks have been one of the most talented teams in the Western Conference for the last five years. However, for as much regular-season success as they've had, the Sharks always come up short in the postseason.

Over the last five years, the Sharks have finished no worse than second, while winning the Pacific Division four times. But for as many division championship banners as they have, this team has never advanced past the Western Conference Finals.

In fact, in the last two seasons, the Sharks have made it to the final step before the Stanley Cup Championship, only to lose to Chicago in a four-game sweep and to Vancouver 4-1.

This current roster of Sharks has a lot of the pieces that have made San Jose one of the best teams during the regular season. However, because of their age and the shortcomings of their stars, this team will never hoist Lord Stanley's Cup at the end of the season.
