LareDarius Dunn hit nine three pointers and went for 33 points against Kansas State in Baylor’s 83-65 victory in Manhattan. Will there be another road repeat of that performance? Baylor has five players scoring in double digits for a Bears team that ranks eighth in the nation in scoring.
Although senior guard Austin Johnson was recently named conference Player of the Week, this team is all about Blake Griffin. Griffin broke the Big 12 record previously held by Kevin Durant and Michael Beasley with his eighth game with at least 20 points and 15 rebounds. Griffin is the conference leader with 22.3 points per game and is pretty much unstoppable. Baylor freshman forward Quincy Acy is the lucky one who gets first shot at getting in Griffins way.
ATS
Baylor is 6-4 ATS including 3-2 on the road
Oklahoma is 8-6 ATS including 4-4 at home
Oklahoma is 7-3 ATS against Baylor in their last 10 matchups
This one should be fun. Both teams I’m sure remember the classic finish last year. Baylor was up three with 7.3 seconds to go when OU made a rare four-point play and then Baylor missed two free throws. Add in some elbow throwing and it makes for a good backdrop to the sequel. I’d love to see a similar close ending and I think it could very well happen.
