Arkansas AD Jeff Long has been tasked with finding the next head coach for the Hogs. Names are being tossed around, and he’s likely hearing whispers from boosters who are holding their next big check hostage for the time being.

The pressure will be on Long to hire a coach that makes sense, but have no fear. One of Arkansas’ heaviest hitters is passing along some friendly advice over Twitter.

John Daly, who knows a thing or two about proper golf pants and has a Master’s degree in absurd L-wedge shots, has tossed a familiar name into the mix. And you thought one college coaching search would go by WITHOUT Jon Gruden’s name being mentioned.

Wrong, dead wrong. Here is what Daly had to say about how he likes "this guy" to be the Hogs' next guy.

Been trying to help, all is in @JeffLongUA hands & I've passed all info to him--if that is the route they want to go I think that Gruden would be the perfect fit! Razorback fans would welcome Gruden with open arms! I know it's a long shot but I live for Arkansas! #WPS #justgivehimacall

If we can't get Gruden we need a NFL coach--Petrino raised the bar in Razorback football & I'm hoping @jefflongUA gets us someone strong is my point! I'm here to support our Hogs & the decision that is made! #WPS #HOGforLife

For what it’s worth, Bovada did not list Gruden in their betting odds on the next Arkansas head coach. That doesn’t mean it’s not a possibility by any means, and this is the first time his name hasn’t been floated for a major college vacancy in quite a while.

Your move, Jeff Long. With pants like these (and an awesome cigarette cameo), what could possibly go wrong?
