Giants closer Brian Wilson is headed for a second opinion on his right elbow, but he confirmed he anticipates having Tommy John surgery and is out for the season.

Wilson admitted he felt something in his elbow, not his ankle as he told trainers, when he threw a pitch Thursday in Colorado. He said he wasn't sure if it was inflammation or something worse, but he was determined to save Madison Bumgarner's victory -- which he did, barely.
