Jason Bay Scratched Due to Jammed Ring Finger

From Andy Martino of the New York Daily News comes word that Mets outfielder Jason Bay has been scratched from Sunday’s lineup against the Phillies due to a jammed right ring finger. Bay suffered the injury while sliding head-first into a base in the second inning of Saturday’s 5-0 defeat of Philadelphia. Scott Hairston is filling in out in left field and batting fifth for the Mets on Sunday.
