The first time was with Louisville, the second with the Atlanta Falcons and now former Arkansas football head coach Bobby Petrino struck again with his latest blow to his already heavily tarnished reputation.

He hired Jessie Dorrell to his staff, and after a motorcycle accident, Petrino was found having an affair with her. Not only that, but he lied to the university following the incident with his initial side of the story on what happened.

Yet this should come as no surprise to Arkansas, as Petrino has been known to be deceiving in his past as well.

At his time in Louisville, Petrino interviewed with Auburn University and flat-out denied anything when reporting back to the Cardinals organization.

As a member of the Atlanta Falcons, Petrino left the Atlanta Falcons with just three games remaining in the season to take the very job he once held at Arkansas.

Coming into the Arkansas tenure, there was no question that this character was one who cared more about his own well being than that of his teams. So much so that he was willing to lie to those previous organizations and make commitments with other teams.

This incident, significantly more severe than the previous two, is essentially the third strike for Petrino in his coaching career. It's the onset that will tarnish his career for good. He not only hired a candidate for a position she was under-qualified for, but had an affair with her as well and lied to the university about the happenings of the motorcycle accident.

Talk about a mouthful.

As great of a coach as Petrino has proven himself to be on the field, his off the field issues have now amounted to too many for his reputation to ever be clear again.
