Che-Hsuan Lin's Agent Confirms Call-Up

The agent for Red Sox outfielder Che-Hsuan Lin confirmed to Focus Taiwan that his client has been called up to the Red Sox' major league team in the aftermath of Jacoby Ellsbury's shoulder injury. Teh-Lun Chen described Lin as "excited and nervous" for his initial taste of the big leagues. In 91 Triple-A games in 2011 and 2012, Lin has hit .230 with a .322 OBP, .296 slugging mark and .618 OPS. While his ability to hit advanced pitching at the upper levels has not been proven, he is an excellent defender and has speed on the bases, and so he will help the versatility of the Red Sox bench.
