Jorge Posada began today's Yankees home opener with an emotional homecoming, throwing the ceremonial first pitch with his former teammates at his back, his son to his side, and to his father waiting behind home plate. Then, he watched as the Yankees ended it with a 5-0 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. Everything, it seemed, went the Yankees' way. Alex Rodriguez broke out of his slump, Nick Swisher delivered another clutch hit and Hiroki Kuroda conducted a clinic on precision pitching, throwing eight shutout innings to bounce back from his lackluster debut.
