If there is one part of my job that I love the most about covering the Flyers, its that there is never a dull moment.

Today, it was announced that Danny Briere will now miss a minimum of four weeks, which will be another 11 games or so, meaning the Flyers no know they need to start looking into moves to fill the void.

So, who better than the superstar from Sweden, Peter Forsberg?

Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said today that he has came in contact with Peter and his agent to see how his progress was going regarding his comeback.

"We've inquired about Peter's health," said Holmgren. "I talked to his agent last week so I kind of know where they're at, but I don't know that he is certain that he can come back.

"As of last week or 10 days ago when I talked to (Forsberg's agent) the jury was still out if he could come back."

Obviously, Holmgren is trying to look into improving his lineup for the run to the Stanley Cup, and Forsberg is the number one guy to look at. Forsberg has stated many times before that Philadelphia is always a place that will be on his short list of teams if he ever decided to come back.

I would like to see a healthy Peter Forsberg come to the Flyers. I think some unfinished business is what he is always thinking about when it comes to this team.

But, I will say I only want him for the right price and if he totally committed to playing this season at close to 100 percent.
