Randy Orton Injures Vince McMahon For Real; Might Face Austin at Wrestlemania 25

Ryan MichaelSenior Writer IIIJanuary 4, 2017

For everyone who watched Randy Orton punt Vince McMahon in the head this past Monday Night, there might have been some real life repercussions. Rumors are starting to circulate that when Randy kicked Vince in the head,  he cut his ear with the lace of his boot and might have given him a real life concussion.

Despite this, Vince was very pleased with how the segment went and feels that the events unraveled just as they had planned. His feelings towards this are not part of the storyline as Vince McMahon in real life is pleased how the scripted angle went.

Of course, I'd imagine the character of Mr. McMahon to be beyond furious with Orton's actions.

At this moment, the plan is for Randy Orton to face John Cena in the main event of Wrestlemania 25. As a matter of fact, he's already scheduled to main event a house show in Texas with Cena just days before Wrestlemania.

If Orton for whatever reason does not main event Wrestlemania, there are now rumors that he might face Stone Cold Steve Austin. In what would be Austin's final match. Due to his age and physical condition, Austin is not capable of sustaining any significant amount of damage.

Randy Orton has a great reputation for being a "safe worker" in the ring which means that he is skilled enough to ensure that his opponents do not get injured in real life. Ironic seeing as Vince was actually hurt in the final segment of Raw last week.

A possible angle would be that Vince brings back Steve Austin to get revenge on Randy Orton for punting him. That might seem to be a pretty unbelievable angle but then again, I never thought Randy Orton would punt Vince McMahon himself either.
