Rex Ryan Becomes New Coach for New York Jets

Luke WashingtonContributor IJanuary 22, 2009

Ryan became the Jets' new head coach, and I think it was a good move. For the fact that Ryan is a defensive-minded coach and the Jets could have a chance to play in a the wild-card game next year.

Ryan has a lot of smarts coming form the Ravens and was locked into a four-year deal. Ryan said that he plans to stay for a long time, but in the past their were 16 other head coaches and Ryan might be 17 to go in a year or to.

I'm not saying Ryan isn't a good coach because he coached one of the best defensive teams in the NFL. Ryan received and identical contract $11.5 million to be exact just like Rams new head coach Steve Spagnuolo.

Rex Ryan...We will have to see how he will turn out with the Jets.
