How do the Toronto Maple Leafs Fix Their Problem(s)?
The Toronto Maple Leafs have blown yet another lead, losing 4-3 in a shootout to the Boston Bruins.
The Leafs blowing this lead is the third time in as many games and who do you blame?
Should we blame the lack of defense, the lack of production, or do we blame goaltending you choose whomever is the blame but they have to fix it and fast if they wanna make the post-season.
If you blame the goaltending, I think most would agree but how do the Leafs fix that problem when they can't trade Vesa Toskala with his salary—no team would want it.
Is bringing up Jusin Pogge the key and giving him a shot? If they do that then why did they sign veteran goalie Curtis Joseph to back-up Toskala.
If your answer is a lack of production, how do they fix that when the No. 1 center is Matt Stajan? Don't get me wrong, he is an okay player, but not a first line player.
Do you trade Jason Blake—he is playing well enough to get a high draft pick for him and the same with Nik Antropov; they are both good trade bait at this point.
If you say lack of defense is their problem, what would be the fix? Tomas Kaberle looks to be playing into a trade since he has hinted that he would wave his no trade clause. Or do you trade Pavel Kubina whom you could get a few good deals for?
What ever the solution is, Brain Burke should hurry up and make it happen.
