Hull City: Andy Dawson set to return for the Tigers

Brian RhodesSenior Analyst IJanuary 22, 2009

Andy Dawson, the older brother of Tottenham's Michael Dawson, has been earmarked for a start against Millwall in Satuday's Fourth Round FA Cup clash.

Dawson, who has the distinction of playing football in all of the four professional English divisions for Hull City, along with the Tiger's Captain Ian Ashbee, goalkeeper Boaz Myhill and Ryan France. A feat only achieved previously by Sean Davis (Fulham) and David Wetherall (Bradford City).

Dawson had a solid start for the Tigers in the Premiership, notably with a display against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium that nullified the flying England player Theo Walcott in Hull City's famous 2-1 victory.

Unfortunately for Dawson, he sustained an injury after 10 minutes in the 3-0 away victory against West Bromich Albion. Since Dawson's absence the Tigers have struggled to sustain their early form and it will be hoped that his return will herald a return to winning ways.
