Eight teams have a chance to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup in June as the champions of the NHL.

However, the Western Conference has eight teams that could easily make it out as the champions of their conference. That is why this was such a hard list to compile.

For example, the eighth seed Los Angeles Kings finished the season giving up the least amount of goals in the conference. They will be a nightmare for the Vancouver Canucks in the first round, especially with Daniel Sedin dealing with a concussion.

Then you have the high-flying Chicago Blackhawks going up against a solid defensive Phoenix Coyotes in the opening round. This series could go back and forth with each team failing to go up by more than one game in the series.

This Western Conference is going to provide hockey fans with entertaining games on every night.
