Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen is facing scrutiny over comments last week in which he said he admired Fidel Castro. After apologizing on Tuesday, the Marlins issued a five-game suspension for the skipper.
Former NFL superstar Warren Sapp has been having a rough month. He incorrectly outed the bounty snitch, his NFL Network contract is up and now, he seems to have also incorrectly managed his finances, and filed for bankruptcy.
With another sting to the Miami Marlins, pitcher Mark Buerhle has fallen victim to a strange injury. Buerhle cut his his thumb on a jar of mayonnaise. The injury resulted in a less-than-stellar pitching performance that evening.
Just weeks after it was announced that Olympic women’s volleyball players were no longer required to wear bikinis as they competed, it sparked a furious backlash in the world of social media.
