These are the latest rankings for Division I NCAA Men's Lacrosse. After last year's dramatic season, lacrosse fans are hoping for 2009 to be even more surprising, intense, and action packed.
One team to watch out for this season will be Virginia. After great offseason recruiting, Virginia will attack the NCAA with speed and skill.
I am predicting a national championship berth in 2009 against either Johns Hopkins or Syracuse.
Meanwhile, teams such as Duke and Maryland will be rebuilding their programs. Programs on the rise: Denver, North Carolina, and Princeton.
1. Syracuse
Syracuse claims the top spot after winning last year's national championship game.
Johns Hopkins
Johns Hopkins follows up at No. 2
Duke
Duke at No. 3
Virginia
Virginia at No. 4
Maryland
Maryland at No. 5
Notre Dame
Notre Dame at No. 6
Ohio State
Ohio State at No. 7
Navy
Navy at No. 8
UMBC
UMBC tied at No. 8 with Navy
Colgate
Rounding out the pack at No. 10 is Colgate
