Can Dolphins Repeat the AFC East Championship?

Mike KentSenior Writer IJanuary 21, 2009

As we all know, the Dolphins were the AFC East champions this season, so at least for now they are the best team in the AFC East. But the question is: Can they repeat?

Next year is a new season, and the two teams that were in the race for the AFC East title will be back and maybe even better.

One of them is the Patriots, who should get Tom Brady back, and even if they don't Matt Cassel should be just fine. And Bill Belichick is one of the best coaches in the NFL; he always gets the job done.

The Jets may get Brett Favre back next season (that may not be a good thing), and they did get Rex Ryan to be their new head coach. And they can always get new talent in the offseason.

Maybe the Buffalo Bills start playing well. Who knows? That's what happened to the Dolphins.

But I think the Dolphins will be back next season, and they will get better in the offseason because Bill Parcels will acquire new talent before the season starts. Coach Tony Sparano is one of the best up and coming coaches in the NFL.

Chad Pennington is going to have an MVP-type season as the rest of the team will play great football.

Can't wait for the new season!
