The Masters is over. It was a Masters that lived up to the hype leading up to it. A Masters that on Sunday saw a double eagle and possibly the best Masters' shot to date.

I'm going to go through the Top 25 ranked golfers in the world and tell you what grade I would give their performances at the Masters.

Ian Poulter

Ian Poulter had a nice weekend at the Masters. He finished five under for the tournament and played his best round Sunday. Poulter stayed consistent all weekend, never posting over par for the day.

Poulter gets a solid B for this weekend.

Peter Hanson

Peter Hanson had a weekend of ups and downs. Hanson had really good scores on Thursday and Saturday. His problem was he couldn’t stay consistent. He shot a combined three over par on Friday and Sunday. If Hanson had shot par on those two days he could have won the Masters.

Hanson is going to get a B for his performance this weekend.

Brandt Snedeker

Brandt Snedeker didn’t have a great tournament this weekend. He also didn’t embarrass himself like some other golfers did. On Saturday, Snedeker made a little noise but wasn’t able to back it up on Sunday.

Snedeker will get a C-plus for his weekend. I would’ve liked to see him shoot a couple below on Sunday.

Nick Watney

Nick Watney started the weekend out steady. Watney was two under heading into the weekend. By the end of the weekend he was three over, and he shot a 77 on Sunday.

Watney is getting a C-minus. Any time you end a tournament going five over, it doesn’t matter what you did before then.

Sergio Garcia

Sergio Garcia finished the Masters at one under. He could’ve been in contention on Sunday had he backed up his four-under score on Friday. Instead, Garcia went three over on Saturday and took himself out of serious contention.

Garcia always finds a way to take himself out of contention. His grade for this weekend will be a B-minus.

Keegan Bradley

Keegan Bradley never got going this weekend. Heading into Sunday he was five over, but he did salvage some of the weekend by going three under on Sunday.

Bradley is going to get a D for the weekend. Five over through three days is hard to defend for a Top 25 player.

Louis Oosthuizen

Louis Oosthuizen played a great tournament. He stayed consistent all weekend, never shooting over par for a round. Oosthuizen had a Sunday to remember—he made putts that were pressure-packed. He also made a double eagle that was probably the second-best shot of the weekend.

Oosthuizen just couldn’t close the door on the Masters.

Oosthuizen is getting an A for his performance.

Bill Haas

Bill Haas had somewhat of a disappointing tournament. Haas came in as a sleeper that everyone seemed to think had a chance of winning. Haas never got going until Sunday. Haas finished at four over and shot an abysmal 76 on Saturday.

Haas is going to get a C, and that’s being generous for a guy who had some momentum going into the Masters.

Graeme McDowell

Graeme McDowell started slow by shooting a three-over 75 on Thursday. He consistently got better throughout the rest of the weekend. After Thursday McDowell shot even par, one under and finished with a four under on Sunday.

McDowell gets a solid B for his weekend at the Masters. It’s important to finish strong and he did.

Matt Kuchar

Matt Kuchar never posted an eye-opening score this weekend, but he played about as consistent as anyone. Kuchar tied for the lead briefly on Sunday with an eagle on 15. His share of the lead was short-lived. Kuchar hit a poor tee shot on the par-three 16th.

Kuchar will get an A for his weekend performance.

Webb Simpson

Webb Simpson had a real solid first three days of the tournament. Going into Sunday he was two under. By the end of Sunday, he was finished at six over for the tournament. Not the way anyone would want to finish, but he did have a solid first three days.

Simpson is going to get a C because of his finish on Sunday.

Charl Schwartzel

Charl Schwartzel failed to defend his green jacket from a year ago. Schwartzel also failed to shoot below par all four days.

Schwartzel is getting an F for his weekend. To not even shoot under par one day and be the defending winner is pathetic.

Adam Scott

Adam Scott had somewhat of an erratic weekend. He never got into a groove until Sunday and by then it was too late. Scott finished tied for eighth but had he not gone three over on Thursday, he could’ve been a serious contender on Sunday.

Scott will receive a B-minus for his performance.

Justin Rose

Justin Rose finished tied for eighth as well. Rose took a different path to finishing there than Adam Scott. Rose shot even par on the first three days of the tournament then decided to go four under on Sunday.

I like guys that stay consistent throughout tournaments with their scores. Rose needed to do something early in the week, and he failed to do that. I’ll give Rose a C-plus for failing to make any noise early in the week.

Phil Mickelson

Phil Mickelson had another solid Masters. Mickelson started slow in the tournament but made a huge push Saturday and found himself one shot behind the leader heading into Sunday. Mickelson had his chances on Sunday but failed to capitalize when he could.

Mickelson is going to get a B-plus for the Masters. He worked through his early troubles and had a shot to win his fourth green jacket.

Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods on Thursday was two under heading to the last two holes, and he finished at even par. Right then and there he was done for the weekend. Woods was a disappointment at the Masters and possibly smashed hopes that he was back to being Tiger.

Woods is getting an F.

Martin Kaymer

Martin Kaymer finished the weekend at six over. He had a solid Thursday and Sunday by shooting even par, which isn’t embarrassing. The problems for Kaymer came on Friday and Saturday. Shooting a combined six over in two days is tough to defend.

Kaymer will also receive an F for his performance this weekend.

Steve Stricker

Steve Stricker was right there with Martin Kaymer. Stricker shot a 71 on Thursday, which seemed promising until he followed that up with a 77 on Friday. Stricker never got going, and his final score showed it.

Stricker is going to get a D for his performance.

Hunter Mahan

Hunter Mahan failed to wow anyone with his scores, but he was in contention heading into Sunday. Mahan shot even par the first two days of the tournament.

Mahan then got going on Saturday, shooting four under. He failed to improve on his score from Saturday. Mahan shot a two over par on Sunday and was out of contention rather quickly.

Mahan will get a B-minus for his performance at the Masters.

Bubba Watson

Bubba Watson finally broke through with his first major win. Watson trailed the entire tournament until midway through the back nine on Sunday.

On the final playoff hole, Watson hit an extremely poor tee shot and found himself in some trouble. Watson would then hit possibly the best golf shot I’ve ever seen.

Given what was on the line, where his opponent was and just to have the guts to bend a shot like that was one of the best golf shots of all time.

Watson will get an obvious A-plus for his weekend, and it was well deserved.

Lee Westwood

142595870_display_image
Jamie Squire/Getty Images

Lee Westwood combined to go nine under on the first and last day of the tournament. It’s what he failed to do on the middle days of the tournament that caused Westwood to lose the green jacket.

Westwood will receive a B-plus for his weekend.

Rory McIlroy

142588492_display_image

Rory McIlroy had a weekend to forget. He was in contention heading into the weekend at four under. Then he collapsed, again. Shooting nine over on the weekend is hardly what the world’s No. 2 golfer had in mind.

McIlroy is going to get an F for that pathetic showing.

Luke Donald

142586300_display_image
Jamie Squire/Getty Images

Luke Donald did not have a good tournament. The world’s No. 1 ranked golfer headed into Sunday at seven over for the tournament. Donald did finish strong at the Masters; shooting a 68 at least made his weekend look respectable.

Donald is going to get a D-plus for his weekend. If he hadn’t finished by going four under he would have received an F.
