According to Sports Illustrated, the Chicago Bulls and the New Jersey Nets have been in “serious trade talk mode” for a while now and a trade could be accepted within the next couple of days.

The Bulls would give up veteran guard Larry Hughes for former '04-'05 Most Improved Player forward Bobby Simmons.

The deal now lays in the hands of the New Jersey Nets on whether or not the trade goes through.

In other news...

The Miami Heat are in great need of a starting Center. Jermaine O’Neal seemed to be the perfect fit for the team, but his health has now become a big concern. It looks as if Shawn Marion being dealt to the Dallas Mavericks for small-forward Josh Howard might be a possibility at this point...but who knows?
