Is Brown Now Becoming The 4.4m Player Celtic Paid For?

MickyContributor IJanuary 21, 2009

Since Scott Brown's 4.4m move to Celtic from Hibernian on the 16th of May 2007, the all-action midfielder has became the back-bone of Celtic's midfield.

Many questions where asked about Scott since the start of that following season and somewhat throughout the season as the hotheaded midfielder earned himself eight yellow cards, eventually being dropped in the title challenge run-in which saw Celtic win their Third SPL Title in as many years.

This season hes started in fine form, scoring five goals, the addition of Marc Crosas in the centre of midfield Brown has been giving a licence to roam the field with his never-ending stamina. His performances on a weekly basis has reestablished his name down South with the likes of Portsmouth being linked with the talented midfielder.

On Thursday, 8th January 2009 FIFA.Com released "Ones to watch in 2009" with Brown being Third on the list behind Jozy Altidore and Michel Bastos Fernandes. Could 2009 be Scott's best season yet? only time will tell but with the way things are going at Parkhead for the 23-year-old it may very well be.
