Holland's "Demolition Man" and Strikeforce heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem, is only two fights away from becoming a free agent after his current Dream contract expires.

Overeem hasn't been shy to let people know where he desires to fight next and that is in North America for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Alistair would most likely re-sign with the Dream organization however if talks between he and the UFC break down.

Overeem has been walking through opponents since moving up from 205 pounds to the heavyweight division, some of these fighters include, Paul Buentello, Gary Goodridge and in September 2008, Mirko "Cro Cop" was nearly taken out by Alistair until a No Contest was ruled after knees to Mirko's groin put the Croatian out of commission.

The UFC heavyweight division or any organization's heavyweight division for that matter, would defiantly benefit with the acquisition of Alistair. He has proven he is a top competitor and he would beef up a weak point for the UFC as their heavyweight division is said to be one of, if not their weakest weight class for talent.
