For the first time in NBA Slam Dunk Contest history there will be an international spice. Rudy Fernandez was announced Monday as the final participant in the annual contest.

Fernandez beat out fellow rookies Russell Westbrook of the Thunder, and Joe Alexander of the Bucks in the You Decide contest.

Fernandez, who is known more for his lethal three-point shooting, will get to showcase a more high-flying version of his game.

For the second-straight year, Memphis' Rudy Gay will be in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Last year he was beaten out by returning champion Dwight Howard.

Rudy Gay is an up-and-coming star in this league and would like to put his name with many of the legends that have participated in the contest.

New York Knicks' Nate Robinson

After taking a year off, the little man, Nate Robinson is back looking for another trophy.

Robinson won the 2006 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, but failed to repeat when then-Boston Celtic Gerald Green took it home in 2007.

Although only 5'9", Robinson can throw down with the best of them. He should be defending champ Dwight Howard's biggest competition.

The Champ! Although you can call him "Superman." Dwight Howard looks to defend his dunking crown at this year's All-Star Game.

Dwight returns this year after winning the contest after he performed a thunderous dunk from the free throw line, wearing a Superman cape.

He is no doubt the favorite in this year's contest, and it will be interesting to see how he will top last year's performance.
