The rumors have been circulating all weekend that Brock Lesnar would appear at WrestleMania 28 or at Raw on Monday. With time running out, Lesnar made his return to the WWE on Monday night to prove the rumors right.

What happened

It was impossible to ignore the chants as John Cena thanked The Rock the night after WrestleMania 28. "We want Lesnar" rang out in Miami from the crowd as they hoped to see Lesnar's return to a WWE ring.

Brock is what they got.

As Cena waited for The Rock to come out, he was surprised to see who emerged instead. Lesnar walked out to thunderous roars from the crowd as he gave them what they wanted.

Lesnar walked around the entrance and soaked up the applause. Without hesitation Lesnar made his way into the ring and extended his hand for Cena to shake. Lesnar pulled Cena in and delivered a devastating F5, laying Cena out in the ring as Raw came to an end.

What it means

The questions as to who Lesnar would face have now been answered, it is just a question of when and where. In all likelihood we have our big match for WrestleMania 29 in East Rutherford, NJ. Perhaps these two will meet sooner, however, at SummerSlam—we will have to wait and see.

A rematch with The Rock was thought to be a possible option for Lesnar, but it appears that will not happen.

If Lesnar and Cena do face off at WrestleMania 29, The Rock might have some interesting options as he pursues the WWE Championship. Perhaps he attempts to end the streak of The Undertaker? Whichever path the WWE chooses, they have many options that should please their fans.

The anticipation was killing everyone as the speculation surfaced that Lesnar had signed a one-year contract with the WWE. It was only a matter of time before Lesnar made his presence felt.

Unfortunately for Cena, he was used as the catapult in Lesnar's return.
