It wasn't the best match of the night and it didn't steal the show, but, the WWE Title match was a great contest with a ton of psychology and mat wrestling. Jericho and Punk went out and tore the house down with counters and stiff kicks and punches.

The match started out with Jericho trying to get Punk disqualified so that he would lose the WWE Title to Jericho. However, despite all of Jericho's taunts and tries to get Punk to go over the line, Punk kept his cool and stayed within the rules.

The match went back-and-forth with both men teasing their finishers.

Jericho was able to lock in the "Walls of Jericho" not once, but twice during the match with Punk finding a variety of ways to counter Jericho's submission move.

The ending came with Punk locking in the "Anaconda Vice" only to see Jericho reverse it into a cradle pining attempt.

Jericho was able to knee Punk to loosen Punk's grip on Y2J. However, Punk was able to move away from Jericho's knees which meant that he had to tap out.

Winner via submission and still WWE Champ, CM Punk

After the match, Punk's victory was cut off the screen for a commercial for WrestleMania 29 and a Brodus Clay dance off with his Mama and her Bridge Club.

I wish I made that up, but Brodus Clay dancing was more important than both the World Heavyweight Title match and Punk having his moment.
