The on-again, off-again relationship between Tennessee football and star wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers is on-again. For now.

Rogers was back on the practice field on Saturday for the Vols, ending a two-day guessing game which included reports that the star wide receiver was transferring to Georgia State.

"It was something he had to do, he did it and he's back," head coach Derek Dooley said following practice. "He's doing good. He had a good day out there today. He had good energy. He did a good job covering punts a couple of times. He's obviously an extremely talented player so I'm glad he took care of what he had to do."

While the news of Rogers' return should be good news to Tennessee fans, approach this situation with caution. Rogers' career in Knoxville has been littered with drama, and just because things are rosy right now doesn't mean that they'll stay that way.

There's no doubt that Rogers is a fantastic player. The sophomore hauled in 67 passes for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns last season in an offense that was incredibly one-dimensional. At some point though, the off-the-field drama will make him expendable.
