Interactive Tournament: Light-Heavyweight Finals
With last week's results, only two men are left in the light-heavyweight division. First, let's look at the semi-final results.
Lyoto Machida crushed Wanderlei Silva as expected with a 15-0 vote.
Quinton Jackson eliminated Forrest Griffin by a 12-3 vote.
Only two men are left, former champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and the undefeated Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida.
Finals fight : Quinton Jackson vs Lyoto Machida
This is a very interesting fight because alot of people love Rampage and would go with him against anybody at 205 but Machida is a monster, he takes the best fighters and makes them look average.
Rampage seems to be back on track with his recent KO victory over Wanderlei Silva and seems ready for another run at the light-heavyweight title.
Lyoto Machida is undefeated and currently is close to a title shot at 205. A fight between both fighters is inevitable in my book.
Looking at the stand-up, it's hard to say who has the advantage. Rampage has better KO power but Machida is so elusive it would be hard for Rampage to really hurt "The Dragon."
I would give wrestling to Jackson and BJJ tough to call as neither men rely on their BJJ skills much.
The fight would probably be contested on the feet for the most part where Machida would maybe have a slight advantage but never count out Rampage.
The finals are set, your votes are missing so please vote. Next week a new tournament begins and it will be time for the Heavyweights.
