La Liga returns this weekend with some pretty important fixtures on either end of the table.

All eyes will be on Barcelona and Real Madrid as usual, but the relegation game between Sporting Gijon and Real Zaragoza may be a good one as well.

Here are the predictions for Round 30 of La Liga:

Racing Santander vs. Granada CF

Racing may be at home but they face tough opposition with Granada CF. Its a very important game for either team with Granada six points outside the relegation zone, right above Racing.

Prediction: Draw 1-1

Sporting Gijon vs. Real Zaragoza

Sporting faces a Zaragoza team that will be full of confidence after some impressive wins over Valencia and Atletico Madrid in recent weeks. With Zaragoza's confidence and Sporting's home advantage, this relegation battle should be good.

Prediction: Zaragoza win 2-1

Osasuna vs. Real Madrid

Real Madrid faces a potential upset game here. They are still obviously the favourites, but a draw would not be too surprising. A loss may be too much to ask, but it is possible as well.

Prediction: Real Madrid win 3-1

Barcelona vs. Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona doesn't have it easy this weekend either with Athletic Bilbao coming to town. The Catalans had to fight hard for a draw last time these teams met, and it will certainly be just as hard and tight this time around.

Prediction: Barcelona win 3-2

Malaga vs. Real Betis

Malaga's spending seems to have paid off as the team has finally made it into the Champions League position the club has hoped for. They shouldn't have any problems dealing with Betis at home.

Prediction: Malaga win 2-0

Atletico Madrid vs. Getafe

It didn't seem as if Getafe would end the season in the top half of the table but a few good results recently have them in 10th. It will be tough game for an Atletico Madrid, who can't afford to drop any more points.

Prediction: Draw 2-2

Valencia vs. Levante

Valencia has dropped a lot of points in recent weeks and is now tied on points with Malaga. Levante has also slipped in that time, so it should be a tight game between two teams who need a good result.

Prediction: Valencia win 2-1

Real Sociedad vs. Rayo Vallecano

Neither of these teams have been in good form recently. Only four points and two place separate the two, though, so it could be tight. Last time they played, Rayo Vallecano won 4-0.

Prediction: Real Sociedad win 1-0

Villarreal vs. Espanyol

The draw against Real Madrid may turn out to be the turning point in Villarreal's season. They won last week after dropping three straight before entertaining Madrid. Espanyol has been pretty steady this season and have hung around the European spots.

Playing at home gives Villarreal the advantage here.

Prediction: Villarreal 2-0

Sevilla vs. Mallorca

Sevilla has picked up wins in the last two rounds to stabilize themselves a little. Mallorca has only lost once in the last five, though, and that came against Barcelona.

Prediction: Sevilla win 3-2
