Even after a comeback, the Ottawa Senators couldn't beat the injury stricken Montreal Canadiens. Key players like Carey Price, Saku Koivu, and Alex Tanguay were still out of the line up at last night's game that the Habs won 5-4 in shootout.

Both Kovalev and Lapierre scored in the shootout to give Montreal the win against rookie goaltender Brian Elliot of the Senators.

Alexei Kovalev scored; Andrei Kostitsyn, Matt D'Agostini, and Tom Kostopoulos each scored once in regulation time. As for Halak, he made 28 saves and got his 11th win this season.

At the press conference, coach Guy Carbonneau was happy to leave Ottawa with the win.

"For sure we would have like to have won it in the third period," said Carbonneau. "But we still found a way to win despite the number of injured players that we have. We still seem to be doing some good things as a team."
