If you’ve been following Smackdown during the build-up to WrestleMania XXVIII, you’ve noticed that the WWE has been booking their feuds for the babyface to go over their heel opposition.

It’s why Sheamus will go over World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, and his other title will get dropped.

Sheamus over Daniel Bryan

Sheamus has been on a hot streak since winning the 2012 Royal Rumble. He’s been booked to look as one of the strongest competitors for Bryan’s World Heavyweight Title.

Yes, Bryan has had other bigger and stronger opponents as champion, but he’s never had a one-on-one competitor that can match Bryan’s aggression like Sheamus.

At WrestleMania, the WWE has a chance to put the belt on Sheamus and establish the next top babyface champion that can lead Smackdown into the next major pay-per-view, SumerSlam.

As champion, Sheamus can feud with Bryan following the pay-per-view, and then move onto an awesome summer feud against Cody Rhodes, or Randy Orton, if he turns heel.

Bryan has done a phenomenal job carrying the title into Mania. But, his time with the belt has come to an end, as Sheamus will take the strap off of him in their match.

Big Show over Cody Rhodes

This feud has been built around the fact that Big Show has come up on the losing end in a majority of his matches at WrestleMania.

However, the fact that Rhodes is bringing up so much history should hint that they’re driving this match toward Show finally having his “WrestleMania Moment.”

Rhodes, like Bryan, has done a great job during his time as champion. But unlike Bryan, Rhodes has brought credibility back to his title. Bryan hasn’t had to, as the World Heavyweight Title was looked upon as a big title to have. Before Rhodes, however, the Intercontinental Title had little credibility.

Since Rhodes re-established the belt as a major title to have, he has moved himself up the card as one of the superstars ready to take that step to the main event level.

With Show’s quest to have a “WrestleMania Moment” and Rhodes ready to take the step into the main event spotlight, it means that Cody will be dropping his title to Big Show at WrestleMania.

These two title changes will help all four men in these matches. The winners will move on with their new titles, while the losers will still have their spot at the top of the card on Smackdown.
