In two days, Chris Jericho and CM Punk will tangle at the biggest event in professional wrestling, WrestleMania XXVIII.
Since Jericho's return to the WWE this past January, he had his sights set on the WWE Champion and has done everything in his power to try and humiliate Punk, recently commenting on Punk's family and personal life.
The build for this feud has been fantastic thus far, and wrestling fans are looking forward to seeing these two spectacular wrestlers in the ring.
Punk and Jericho had their war of words on RAW, Twitter, YouTube and other social media, but Punk seems to have one-upped Jericho.
According to Prowrestling.net in a recent interview with ESPN, Punk commented on Jericho never being the top guy in the WWE.
Punk was quoted as saying:
There's always, I think, somebody that has overshadowed him, I guess an argument can be made that John Cena is still 'The Man.' But the numbers don't lie with merchandising, ratings and everything else.
Punk went on to comment on Jericho never being a champion that the fans could believe in:
We're not trying to hotshot the title around or play hot potato with it. We're giving people a champion they can believe in.
And Jericho was never really that guy. He was never really, I guess, the ambassador John Cena has been and that I've been lately. That's what I meant by that.
CM Punk is never shy when it comes to expressing his feelings about specific people in the WWE, and these comments are no exception.
This feud will finally come to a head at the "Super Bowl" of professional wrestling, WrestleMania XXVIII.
