NASCAR's Plan for Survival in Poor Economy: Portable Toilets (humor)

What is NASCAR's plan to make it through the tough economic times? Well according to a very reliable source, their plan is to sell sponsorship rights to everything.  What does this mean?

Well apparently NASCAR will be holding a press conference to announce some new sponsorship deals for 2009, the biggest deal includes the Official Port-a-Potty of NASCAR.  The coveted Portable Toilet sponsorship is according to reports worth $3 million per season.

NASCAR will not stop there according to my source, they will also sell the rights to official light bulb of the pace car of NASCAR (Worth $500K per season), Official shoe lace of NASCAR pit crews (Worth 12 bucks per season), and the Official microphone of NASCAR announcers (Undisclosed amount at this time). All of this will just be the starting point of this new plan to sell rights to everything (Even if the products have nothing to do with the sport once the green flag drops).

I for one am tired of all of the corporate sellouts that have happened in sports, but if it can save our favorite sport we may want to learn to embrace it.

(This story is of course not true in any way...well hopefully haha, but I hope you all got some enjoyment out of reading it)
