You stand on the tee of the short par 3 at your local course. You check the yardage, take note of the pin position and the nearby hazards. You select your club from your bag. Lining up your shot to allow for the wind, you address the ball. The perfect swing and connection, barely a click is heard as the ball flies like an arrow towards the green.

In the distance you watch transfixed as the ball lands on the green and rolls towards the pin.

"That'll be close," says your playing partner.

The ball takes the 'borrow' on the green and............... in it drops!!!
