The 50 Most Adorable Pictures in Sports

0 of 50

I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but professional athletes on Twitter are an endless source of entertainment. Maybe you did already know that but you're too busy and important in your regular life to keep up with a bunch of strangers on Twitter.

Well thankfully I'm not too busy and important to do it for you. It's only because I care so damn much.

When an athlete is engaging in an ill-advised Twitter feud, I am there. When an athlete is Twitter ranting about "haters" "hatin," I am there. And when an athlete is posting sexy, hilarious or ridiculously adorable pictures on Twitter, I am there.

Well, in this instance, we're talking adorable—like seriously adorable. Let's take a look at 50 of the most adorable pictures in sports.

50. Darnell Dockett, Arizona Cardinals

1 of 50

    Twitter ID: @ddockett

Awww: Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett isn't all man eating pets and live streaming Internet showers—he's also great with kids! Dockett is a proud father and (apparently) a 100 percent Grade-A Go Getta.

49. Scottie Upshall, Florida Panthers

47. Rajon Rondo, Boston Celtics

4 of 50

    Twitter ID: @RajonRondo

Awww: Celtics superstar point guard Rajon Rondo has taken some heat recently for being moody and high maintenance. True or not, at least he's not too moody to give back to the community—here he is with the kids attending "Camp Rondo," his summer youth basketball program.

46. Collin Balester, Detroit Tigers

5 of 50

    Twitter ID: @ballystar40

    Twitter ID: @ErikAinge3

Awww: Recently retired Erik Ainge played two seasons as backup quarterback with the Jets before hanging it up for a career in broadcasting. Here's his little one with Jets coach Rex Ryan at a Tennessee football game.

Normally Vols fans just irritate me, but I'm okay with this one.

7 of 50

    Twitter ID: @Peteypipes

41. Ndamukong Suh, Detroit Lions

10 of 50

    Twitter ID: @ndamukong_suh

Awww: Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is one of the most feared and imposing forces in the NFL today. Thankfully, off the field he is substantially less frightening. Here is Suh at a Pistons game posing for a picture with his cutest fan.

11 of 50

    Twitter ID: @Hasselbeck

39. Nyjer Morgan, Milwaukee Brewers

12 of 50

    Twitter ID: @TheRealTPlush

38. Carl Landry, New Orleans Hornets

13 of 50

    Twitter ID: @CarlLandry24

Awww: Hornets forward Carl Landry can always count on support from his No. 1 fan—his sign-making grandmother. Grandmas are seriously the best.

15 of 50

    Twitter ID: @DwightHoward

Awww: Jets superstar receiver Santonio Holmes isn't exactly known as a warm and fuzzy character—actually, he seems kind of mean usually—but apparently he's kind of a sweetie in his real life. Holmes has done charity work in Africa and he has an adorable puppy named Bella that he dotes on.

33. Alana Blanchard, Surfer

18 of 50

    Twitter ID: @alanaRblanchard

Awww: You might think that stunning surfer Alana Blanchard is your dream woman—but would you reconsider that if you knew she had not one but three goofy Pomeranians? Oh, and apparently they all travel with her and get to ride shotgun.

    She's definitely my dream woman.

32. Blake Griffin, L.A. Clippers

19 of 50

    Twitter ID: @blakegriffin

Awww: For every day Clippers superstar forward Blake Griffin ruins with a monster drunk straight to the grill, he makes the day of at least one sick child. So everything evens out and all is right in the universe.

29. Antonio Cromartie, New York Jets

22 of 50

    Twitter ID: @ACromartie

Awww: We all learned on HBO's Hard Knocks that corner Antonio Cromartie has an awful lot of children—too many for him to even keep track of. Well, he might not know all their names, but this little beauty is little Jurzie—she and daddy are big Heat fans.

28. Daniel Negreanu, Professional Poker Player

23 of 50

    Twitter ID: @RealKidPoker

Awww: Not only does poker pro Daniel Negreanu have an adorably teensy little dog, he says the hardest thing about going out on the road is leaving his son (the teensy little dog!).

27. Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars

24 of 50

    Twitter ID: @Jones_Drew32

Awww: This was posted by Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew, but it's actually the Jags' No. 2 back DuJuan Harris (@Ol_sLy_Foxx) making some time with a fan. It's awesome that he's signing autographs for fans and it's even more awesome that the fan wanted him to sign his forehead.

26. Dustin Keller, New York Jets

25 of 50

    Twitter ID: @DUSTINKELLER81

29 of 50

    Twitter ID: @KingJames

Awww: Heat superstar LeBron James is not very self-aware and he's so very bad with public relations—which is a shame, because it's quite clear that under all that, he's really a pretty great guy. James is a family man and a doting dad who always has time for fans—especially pint-sized ones.

21. Damien Wilkins, Atlanta Hawks

30 of 50

    Twitter ID: @dwilkins3000

31 of 50

    Twitter ID: @J4hvidbest

34 of 50

    Twitter ID: @36westbrook

10. Dallas Braden, Oakland A's

41 of 50

    Twitter ID: @DALLASBRADEN209

9. John Wall, Washington Wizards

42 of 50

    Twitter ID: @John_Wall

Awww: The Wizards might not be having a memorable year (what else is new?) but at least John Wall has something good waiting for him at home. Wall's got more than canine companionship, too—he's the proud uncle to a couple of adorable little kids

8. Stevie Johnson, Buffalo Bills

43 of 50

    Twitter ID: @StevieJohnson13

Awww: Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson has earned a reputation of being a bit of a clown on the field, but off the field he's a devoted family man. Judging by the photos he posts on Twitter, he seems like the funnest dad ever.

7. Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic

44 of 50

    Twitter ID: @DwightHoward

Awww: I really wanted to dislike Magic superstar Dwight Howard after his months-long trade saga and ridiculous self-serving press conference. Unfortunately, I couldn't, and this picture (and most of his Twitter photos) is why. I just love this guy.

6. Mark Schlereth, ESPN Analyst

45 of 50

    Twitter ID: @markschlereth

Awww: As the owner of a pair of Italian Greyhounds, I know there are very few dogs that are more ridiculous. It takes a secure man to embrace such a ridiculous little dog, and retired NFL guard Mark Schlereth is all the more appealing to the ladies for doing so.

5. Paul Pierce, Boston Celtics

46 of 50

    Twitter ID: @paulpierce34

Awww: The Celtics' Paul Pierce is active in children's charities like St. Jude's Children's Hospital because he obviously adores his own children.
