The Heisman is the most coveted award in sports and predicting its winner before the season is hard enough, but prognosticating who may raise the trophy three-to-five years from now is nearly impossible.
Fox Sports’ Scott Kennedy dug deep into the Class of 2012 to find five players who could one day hold college football’s biggest individual prize. But, we made Kennedy’s job even harder by not allowing him to choose a quarterback, the position that has won the award 10 of the last 12 years.
Kennedy’s list includes Missouri all-world wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, Pittsburgh running back Rushel Shell, Texas record-breaking tailback Johnathan Gray, Ohio State running back Bri’onte Dunn, and his sleeper pick was Florida State defensive lineman Mario Edwards.
Check out whom Scott pegs to be the Class of 2012's impact offensive players, defensive players and sleepers on Full Ride’s YouTube channel.
