Aside from quarterback, no position garners more intrigue or hype amongst college fanbases during the recruiting process than running back.
The list of the top five tailbacks for the class of 2013 is out, and there is top-end backfield talent from every region of the country. FOX Sports national recruiting analyst Brandon Huffman unveils the running backs that have recruiting coordinators around the country fighting each other for these coveted commitments.
Checking in at No. 5 is Thomas Tyner (Aloha High School, Beaverton, Ore.), who received offers from Oregon State, UCLA and Washington. The 6'0", 200-pound back chose to give a verbal commitment to Oregon and should be a Duck come 2013.
Derrick Henry (Yulee High School, Yulee, Fla.) ranks fourth amongst all running backs in the class after 2,610 yards and 34 touchdowns in 2011. Like Tyner, Henry has already given a commitment, but his is to the Georgia Bulldogs.
So who made the top three? Who's No. 1 in the 2013 class? Here's a hint: One of them ran for over 500 yards and six touchdowns in his state championship game. Watch and find out!
