WWE Wrestlemania 28: 7 Superstars the Miz Could Have Faced

0 of 7

My how the mighty have fallen.

Especially, considering this was The Miz about one year ago at the WrestleMania 28 press conference.

Now, fast-forward to 2012 and about one week away from "The Grandaddy of Them All" and this very same man is currently not a part of the card.

The worst part is, not only is he not wrestling, but he is practically begging to be a part of a lower card match.

Don't get me wrong, I get a lot can happen in a year, but how does one man go from champ to chump in less than a year?

Now, given The Miz's current situation, here are seven matches that I would consider booking him in if I were writing for the WWE.

Keep in mind, I may have missed some opponents that you would rather see him fight. So if that's the case, feel free to weigh in on the comments section.

Also, if you like what you have read, don't be shy become a fan.

Brodus Clay

1 of 7

Currently, Brodus Clay's entrance may be one of the biggest going.

So why not have it at the biggest show of the year?

Please note, this match could not be a squash match as it would destroy The Miz's career.

However, it does give Clay a chance to prove that he is ready for the big time.

Evan Bourne

2 of 7

Lets face it, both men are looking for a WrestleMania payday.

Now, Bourne may have screwed himself out of this opportunity due to his Wellness Policy suspensions.

However, The Miz seemingly has no reason to not be in a WrestleMania match.

Either way, this would have to be a mystery opponent match for The Miz.

Especially considering, Bourne has been absent from TV due to his suspensions, which would not have allowed enough time for a solid buildup.

R Truth

The last time these two met, a Royal Rumble slot was at stake.

The Miz not only lost the match but also any momentum he had left.

This rematch would allow The Miz the chance to regain his steam and get back into the fold.

Santino Marella

4 of 7

The last time these two met for the US title The Miz was the champ.

Now, the roles are reversed, and it would be interesting to see if Santino would come up victorious to retain the gold.

Drew McIntyre

5 of 7

This match has the chance of being great.

Surprisingly, I don't believe these two have never met in the ring. Not to mention, they are both loud-mouths, so the promos leading up to the match would also be good.

As an added bonus, there could be a job stipulation attached, and we could finally see one of these two get back in the driver's seat. Especially considering both men have been in the doghouse of late.

Rey Mysterio

6 of 7

Ideally, for this to play out, The Miz would be granted a WrestleMania match against a mystery opponent.

Then as The Miz awaits his opponent, the lights go out and Mysterio does his entrance with pyro.

Let's face it, there is no doubt Mysterio would get one of the biggest crowd pops of the night.

John Morrison

7 of 7

This one is a long shot, as we all know Morrison is taking at least a year off from the WWE.

However, what a better way to exact revenge against the guy that put you out of commission than a match at WrestleMania?
