Freddy Garcia May Be Mets Bound

Phil HoopsCorrespondent IJanuary 16, 2009

Andrew Marchand at ESPN Radio is reporting that Freddy Garcia has narrowed down his choice of teams to three.

These teams include the Mets, Yankees, and Rangers.

At one time, Garcia was a dominating pitcher. However, recently he has been plagued by injury.

His best season came in 2001 with the Seattle Mariners, where he went 18-6 and posted a 3.05 ERA.

It's been rumored that Garcia would be inclined to accept an incentive-laden one-year deal, which obviously would be a wise signing for the Mets to make.
