Major League: Back to the Minors Rerun?

With regards to the recent decision of USC QB Mark Sanchez deciding to go pro, I've seen recent columnists state that Pete Carrol was a petulant child or his behavior was horrible at the press conference.

However, with Carrol's defense of his reasons to "hold him back," Carrol acted in a way totally similar to Gus Cantrell in Major League: Back to the Minors.

Remember when Gus tried telling Billie 'Downtown" Anderson that he wasn't ready for "the show" yet and they got into a big argument?  Pitchers knew how to pitch to him and he wasn't ready and had to be sent back down to the minors only to eat a little crow and learn what he needed, what he should've done instead of going up too soon.

Carrol knows everything about Sanchez and he wouldn't stick his neck out saying he's not ready to go if he seriously didn't believe it.

In hindsight, I sure hope Sanchez doesn't regret this decision.

As for USC, they'll be fine with Mitch Mustain taking the reins until Barkley takes over.
