What Started As a Publicity Stunt Now a Reality (Humor)

Kevin James, actor in the new movie "Paul Blart, Mall Cop" had a publicity day at Texas Motor Speedway yesterday where he raced NASCAR race cars with his Segway Scooter from the movie.

This started out as a crazy publicity stunt to spike interest in the film, but then NASCAR got to thinking...

According to a source who wishes to remain anonymous, NASCAR, who is under pressure due to the fact less than 43 cars will be at tracks this year, is currently constructing a template for a stock-car version of the Segway.

Under this plan, Kevin James will actually be able to compete week in and week out in a sport he loves.

This will also give fans what they have complained about since Pontiac left the sport...another manufacture.

Other drivers in the sport have obviously jumped on the bandwagon supporting this idea, because it will be nearly impossible for the Segway to seriously compete with the 800 horsepower cars we see every weekend.

More importantly, if the deal goes through Segway will have a contract worth $30 million over three years, to become the official pace car of NASCAR.

This is an astonishing storyline we will all closely follow throughout the year to see if it really develops.
