Recent sauces have indicated that the former newcastle united star, alan shearer, could be coming out of retirement and signing for championship side crystal palace FC.

The rumours, which are yet to be confirmed, sugest that crytsal palace have shown great interest in signing shearer, who has alegedly expressed great interest in the idea.

Shearer, who retired in april 2006, scored a record breaking 206 goals in his last season at Newcastle. He has since become a regular on the BBC show Match of the Day.

It seems probable that if the deal goes threw, shearer won't start at crystal palace untill 2010, as he is currently under contract with the BBC.

"Shearer could be exactly what we need to boost us up to the premiership" said one crtysal palace fan. "He worked wonders for newcastle, and if the rumors turn out to be true i'm sure he'll have a glorius career here at Crystal palace."
