Kaká will only trade champion club Milan for emerging Manchester City if the project presented by the English side is a serious one.
The Brazilian is not only thinking about the money. The salary is tempting, but Kaka wants more.
He is demanding that other top-class players be purchased by Manchester City.
He fears falling to the second division, and wishes for City to start next year as a favourite for all competitions in which it will take part.
Manchester must embark on a serious project, and not just some short-term scheme. Kaka says he has professional objectives. and a first-class club is where he must be.
If there are to be further negotiation, then some sort of project or plan must be presented by City in addition to talk of money.
Under these conditions, the transfer may go through in this January window, Diogo Kotscho, Kaka's communications liaison, said in an interview given to GLOBOESPORTE.
Diogo confirmed also that Kaká would only discuss the issue if Milan first accepted the offer.
Sheik Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Manchester City owner, sent a delegation to Milan on Tuesday. One of the members was Kia Joorabchian, businessman responsible for buying and selling players.
The first offer was for $150 million. Unconfirmed reports have the figure even higher. It would seem that Kaka is currently worth more than Sheik Mansour actually paid for the entire Manchester City club.
Kaka's main concern seems to be City's current standing in the EPL table, the threat of relegation, and what other players will be joining him in this project to turn Manchester City into a world class club—explained Kotscho.
