The 2012 edition of the WWE Draft looks like it will happen the Monday before the next pay-per-view—after WrestleMania 28 on April 29, Extreme Rules.

From WrestlingInc.com:

The start time for the the April 23rd Raw Supershow from Detroit has been changed to 7:15 p.m, so the televised portion of RAW will be three hours. As noted earlier, the show is tentatively scheduled to be the draft show. John Cena and C.M. Punk vs. Chris Jericho and Kane is advertised as the dark match main event.

Instead of talking about how unnecessary the draft is in the age of the SuperShow on Monday nights, let's focus on the few superstars where a change of scenery between Raw and Smackdown would be very good for them this year.

After being stuck in a long losing streak dating back to 2011, the Miz should be one superstar to be drafted to Smackdown next month. Some time on the Blue Brand would help rebuild the former WWE Champion into a someone who could be in a main event.

Unlike the Awesome One, I believe a move from Smackdown to Raw on a full time basis would help build the current Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes, into a true main event superstar who could challenge for either the WWE or World Heavyweight Championships in the future.

With the move to Raw SuperShow, I could see the Big Show winning the Intercontinental title at WrestleMania from Rhodes then dropping the title to another up-and-comer on Smackdown—like Drew McIntyre or Ted DiBiase when he returns from injury.

So Bleachers, who would you like to see move from Raw SuperShow to Smackdown at this year’s edition of the WWE Draft this April?
