Kevin Kilbane, the 31-year old Republic of Ireland left midfielder, is reported to be joining the Tigers for £600,000 from Wigan Athletic. The two clubs have agreed in principle but the player still has to agree to personal terms and pass a club medical.
Kevin Kilbane started his career at Preston before West Bromwich broke their club record and made him their first £1,000,000 player. He instantly became a fan favourite with the Midlands club, and won his first of 92 full international caps for the Eire National side, scoring a total of seven international goals. The Irish fans affectionately nicknamed him 'Zinadine Kilbane' after the French international.
Subsequent moves to Sunderland, Everton, and Wigan Athletic have seen Kilbane solidify himself as a solid, hardworking, and gifted Premier League player. Unfortunately, he has recently slipped down the pecking order at Wigan's JJB Stadium as they climbed the Premier League table this season under Steve Bruce. This has led to Wigan allowing the East Yorkshire side to make an offer for the Irish International.
