The Kansas City Chiefs applied more grease to their greasy wheels by signing tight end Kevin Boss to a three-year contract Thursday afternoon.

Boss's signing comes closely on the heels of locking in Peyton Hills to a 1-year contract Wednesday afternoon.

Once again, rather than chasing big name free agents the Chiefs are quietly filling holes and building depth by bargain shopping for players. While the Buffalo Bills splurged to the tune of $50 million guaranteed for Mario Williams, Kansas City found a heavyweight running back to complement Jamaal Charles and further insurance against another injury to Tony Moeaki.

And they did it all for only $3 million per player, per year.
