WWE News: Latest on How the Card Will Look During WrestleMania 28

Chris HumphreyCorrespondent IDecember 23, 2014

As the card for WrestleMania is all but set for the big event, the only big question remaining is how will the matches be lined up when the show begins on April 1 from Sun Life Stadium in Miami.

Will The Rock and John Cena close out the night or will another one of the great main-event matches lined up steal the final match of the night?

From Wrestling News Source:

The structure of the WrestleMania card is always subject to intense changes in the weeks leading up to the event but the latest talk is to have the Hell in a Cell match in the middle of the event with The Rock vs. John Cena going on last and possibly Punk vs. Jericho opening the show.

While the news of how the card looks today will likely change before we get to the actual event on April 1, I do like some of the ideas for the card mentioned in the source above for WrestleMania.

Here’s how I would set the lineup for WrestleMania:

WWE Championship: CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

12-Man Tag Team Match: Team Teddy Long vs. Team John Laurinaitis

Intercontinental Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. The Big Show

Randy Orton vs. Kane

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus

Hell in a Cell Match: Triple H vs. Undertaker

The Rock vs. John Cena

The WWE Championship match between Chris Jericho and champion CM Punk would be an excellent way to start off the show as the feud between the two superstars took a dark turn Monday night with Y2J bringing up Punk’s father’s alleged alcoholism.

As for the Hell in a Cell match, I think the match between Undertaker and Triple H would be better placed on the card in the final match before the main event instead of being dropped in the middle of the event.

Even though some people would like to see another match in the main event, the obvious choice for the final match of the night is The Rock against John Cena in their battle of the generations, literally, because of the star power of the two.

So Bleachers, how would you lineup the match card for WrestleMania from start to the main-event match of the evening?
