Sometimes it takes ALOT to change a little

I saw the man who did this to me last Saturday night and I froze.I was actually "semi nice to him"When I got home that night I could'nt sleep.I thought to myself....One man is dead,I broke 27 bones,and this guy walks the streets and party's.At times I want to trade places with him and let him feel what I feel everyday.(Lack of vision,limited motion of 1 leg,can't smile due to Bells Palzy in my face,yet the other half of me forgives him.As corny as the WWJD braclets are I ask myself"what would Jesus do"I believe in Jesus so I have forgiven him but I have not forgotten.It has been a "closet blessing"to me .What I mean by this is the road I was on was leading me straight to Hell.going out 4 nights a week,drugs,women,ect.Now I feel that I can love the people who love me more.I can hug someone who needs a hug,and I can listen to someone who needs a friend.Before my accident I did'nt really care.Now I feel like Bill Murry at the end of the  movie Scrooged."Put a little love in your heart"It's NEVER too late to change and you don't have to get in a wreck with a moron to change.I've always been a fan of"the heart"ever since I can remember.The saying"You can't teach heart"is big to me.If you have"Heart"and a positive attitude you can overcome anything.When I was in coma my nephew would tell my brother"He's gonna be fine"That statement has alot of different meanings to me.It's a fact,I am gonna be fine.I have good faith,good family,and good friends.More importants the fact  I have"Heart". You can't teach that.I say my damns and Hells and sometimes do terrible things but I do think about Jesus alot and what he has done for me.I hear "Bart you're lucky"or you're not suppose to be here"alot.I disagree.I'm still here because I'm here to help others and not be selfish like I was in the past.I'm here because I want to do "what Jesus would do",and I'm here because I HAVE Heart.       Although I hate the Dallas Cowboys and Hall of Fame Reciever Micheal Irvin,I have to give him credit.Micheal had alot of "Off the field issues"drugs ect.When two of his teammates were inducted into the  Pro Football Hall of Fame a year or two before him he told his kids"Be like these guys,don't be like me"Micheal saying that stuck with me.If you surround yourself with 'bird watchers",you  will learn how to watch birds.If you surround yourself with a rock climber,you will climb  mountains
