Troy Tulowitzki Becoming Big Fan of Brandon Wood's Work with Rockies
GLENDALE, Ariz. — When I approached Troy Tulowitzki in the clubhouse early Tuesday morning, he was busy organizing the Rockies' NCAA Tournament pool. He wasn't really in the mood to chat about baseball.
But when I brought up Brandon Wood, the third baseman who is trying to rebuild his swing and resurrect his career, Tulo quickly looked up from his bundle of March Madness brackets. He started talking passionately about the 27-year-old "kid" he has been teaching. Nearly every day, Wood and Tulo meet at the cage to work on hitting.
