The North Carolina Tar Heels are in prime position to take home the 2012 NCAA Tournament Championship, and they will succeed.

With Syracuse losing Fab Melo, their biggest competition on their side of the bracket has eliminated. They will likely have to fight through Ohio State and Kansas, but neither team will be talented enough to take down the Tar Heels.

Kansas might have one of the best college players in the game in Thomas Robinson, but with John Henson marking him, don’t expect the Jayhawks to sniff this year’s Final Four. The Tar Heels entered the year primed for a Final Four run and they won’t let their fans down.

They will live up to the expectations and there are plenty of reasons to support this claim. From Kendall Marshall to the UNC front line, don’t doubt the Tar Heels when the NCAA Tournament kicks off on Thursday.
