It's official now, Dwight Howard has said he wants to go to every elite team in the NBA this season.

According to Kurt Helin of NBC Sports, Howard is considering the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers to his possible destinations.

The Heat would have cap issues if they tried to sign the Magic center, but that has not stopped the interest.Miami will be about $20 million over the cap next season which makes it all but impossible to sign Howard to the contract that he wants.

Howard recently came out saying that he wants to work it out with the Magic and finish the season with them. His goal is to be recruited by teams and not have a team dump all of their players to the Magic in exchange for Howard.

There has been speculation among fans that if the Heat don't win a championship this season, Pat Riley will blow up the team. This would mean that either LeBron James or Chris Bosh will be gone. Riley has not yet given an ultimatum to the Heat.

This newest rumor is something that Howard probably wants. However, will the Heat even take this seriously? They have yet to come out on a statement regarding their pursuit of Howard. The front office knows that they do not have the money to bring in the defensive player of the year.

Another interesting aspect of this rumor is if the Heat are interested. If Riley thinks that the combination of Dwayne Wade and Bosh with Howard is a better combination will he be willing to trade James. If the Heat could get an interesting offer for James, don't be surprised if it happens. Getting role players and draft picks for James is not bad if they now have Howard on the team.

Also, it needs to be considered that Bosh would probably be thrown under the bus by Wade and James if it meant getting Howard. They know as much as we do that getting Howard is a huge improvement over Bosh. Considering the Heat lack in size, they would love to get someone who leads the league in rebounds and is a force in the paint.

As for Howard, he needs to stop talking about his future past this season. Every week there is a new team that comes out of his mouth that he will like to join. Only time will tell if Howard to the Heat is a real possibility. As for now, it is nothing more than a joke.
